The Zebec community recently voted on and approved the first Zebec Improvement Proposal (ZIP-1) to create the Nautilus Chain. Zebec Chain will use Nautilus as a staging chain. Nautilus, as a forerunner that will be launched on its mainnet, will be critical in ensuring the successful launch of Zebec Chain, which is scheduled for late Q3 of this year.

What Is Nautilus Chain?

Nautilus will put to the test a modular blockchain design that divides data storage, execution, and settlement into layers. It will function as L3 infrastructure, allowing developers to build app-specific chains on top of scalable L2 solutions. This gives them complete control over the programming of their apps without requiring them to share blockspace with other apps, resulting in unprecedented scalability. According to current estimates, Zebec Chain's TPS is greater than 100,000 TPS.

This means that, when compared to traditional blockchains, the Nautilus Chain will provide a more efficient and flexible solution for developers and dApps. Developers will have more control over how their apps are programmed and will be able to balance throughput and decentralization. Nautilus' modular design also makes it easier to upgrade and improve the system over time. According to the proposal

Developers using Nautilus will be able to choose between various L1s for data availability and consensus, such as Celestia, Cosmos, or Ethereum. Developers will initially be able to use Ethereum for consensus and Cosmos' IBC connectivity. They can use the EVM, Solana VM, or Move for the transaction execution layer, with others to come.
Nautilus will benefit the community by increasing the price of $ZBC. $ZBC will power the Nautilus chain, and 25% of all gas fees will be burned, deflating the token's supply and raising its price.
Nautilus Chain will also be a great tool for developers — and give them more freedom than they have on other blockchains.
